This weekend marks the event of the year for the Christmas industry, with the UK's only dedicated four day trade show for festive products opening its doors on Sunday 12th January 2025. Visitors will be pleased to know that according to BBC Weather, it is due to warm up for the duration of the show from around four degrees on Sunday to around eight degrees by Wednesday with no snow on the agenda. This means that there are no delays expected on the roads or public transport.

Straits Christmas is going to be as show stopping as ever for 2025. Alongside popular sparkling trees, glitter water spinners, and light-up ornaments, it is introducing a huge new range of products.
Sales director, Steve Webb, has already selected the items he thinks will be a runaway success. "We've always done well with light-up houses, this year we have a range of wooden houses that have more detail and will capture the imagination." He's also excited about the infinity ornaments. They are a smaller, more practical size, and with coloured edging they look festive switched off, but then magical when lit.
Halloween is also going to be a key event for Straits in '25. The collection has expanded to include spooky decorations guaranteed to give a jump scare, wicked water spinners filled with swirling bats and smoke, plus, light-up lustre decorations that look incredible.
