Covid precautions 2022 & Revised Travel Information
Harrogate Christmas & Gift is taking every precaution to ensure the safety of everyone involved in the show. Please note the following conditions of entry to the Harrogate Convention Centre for all participants including stand contractors, exhibitors, buyers, visitors, venue and organising staff:Covid Checkpoints
There will be two Covid Checkpoints which will be the Royal hall situated between Halls A & M and the Conference Centre entrance for Hall D opposite the Crown Plaza.Conditions of Entry Acceptance of proof:
- The NHS Covid Pass or
- Approved International Equivalent or
- Test result from a PCR Test or a Negative Lateral flow test taken within the previous 48 hours.
Face Coverings must be worn at all times
Hand Sanitizers will be positioned around the venue
INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS - ENTERING THE UK FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY

If you are fully vaccinated
This is what you need to do if you qualify under the fully vaccinated rules for travel to England.Before you travel to England - fully vaccinated
Before you travel to England you must:- book and pay for a COVID-19 test - to be taken after you arrive in England
- complete a passenger locator form - to be completed in the 48 hours before you arrive in England
When you arrive in England - fully vaccinated
After you arrive in England you must take a COVID-19 test. This is the test that you booked before travel. You can book either a lateral flow test or a PCRtest.You can take the test any time after you arrive and before the end of day 2 at the latest. The day you arrive is day 0.
If your test result is positive, you must self-isolate.
If your lateral flow test result is positive, you must also take a PCR test.
If you are not fully vaccinated
This is what you need to do if you do not qualify under the fully vaccinated rules for travel to England.Check this section of this guidance to see if you qualify as fully vaccinated.
Before you travel to England - not fully vaccinated
Before you travel to England you must:- take a COVID-19 test – to be taken in the 2 days before you travel to England
- book and pay for day 2 and day 8 COVID-19 PCR tests - to be taken after arrival in England
- complete a passenger locator form - to be completed in the 48 hours before you arrive in England
When you arrive in England - not fully vaccinated
After you arrive in England you must:- quarantine at home or in the place you are staying for 10 full days
- take your COVID-19 PCR tests - you must book these tests before you travel
If you are in England for less than 10 days, you need to quarantine for the time you are here. You need to book day 2 and day 8 PCR tests. You only need to take the tests if you are still in England on those days.

Entry requirements for international visitors entering the UK (from 7th December 2021)
Everyone entering the UK must follow new Covid procedures:Before you travel to England – fully vaccinated
- take a COVID-19 test – to be taken in the 2 days before you travel to England
- book and pay for a COVID-19 PCR test – to be taken after you arrive in England
- complete a passenger locator form – to be completed in the 48 hours before you arrive in England
If you’re in England for less than 2 days, you still need to book and pay for a day 2 COVID-19 test. You must quarantine until you receive a negative test result, or until you leave England, whichever is sooner.
When you arrive in England – fully vaccinated
After you arrive in England you must take a COVID-19 PCR test. This is the test that you booked before travel.
You can take the test any time after you arrive and before the end of day 2 at the latest. The day you arrive is day 0.
You must quarantine in your home or the place you are staying while you await your test result.
Before you travel to England – not fully vaccinated
Before you travel to England you must:
- take a COVID-19 test – to be taken in the 2 days before you travel to England
- book and pay for day 2 and day 8 COVID-19 PCR tests – to be taken after arrival in England

Ensuring your safety
With new government measures announced regarding the Omicron Coronavirus variant, the organisers of Harrogate Christmas & Gift reassure show participants that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure the absolute safety of everyone attending the show.Simon Anslow, show organiser, explains: “Obviously it is early days since new measures due to the Omicron variant have been announced and we are liaising closely with the Harrogate Convention Centre and following government guidelines to keep the industry updated. Robust covid precautionary measures are already in place at the venue and these will be evaluated and updated according to latest advice. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the show in 2022 and will be taking every measure to safeguard the event and make it enjoyable for all involved.”
