An inner layer of silver paint is applied to the glass to reflect the light
back inside the lamp, and this stops it from being absorbed by the outer
layer, a choice of either elegant satin-effect Christmas Crimson or
Midnight Black. The design is then burned off by laser back to the glass
to reveal the bright white light from the dozen or so internal LEDs. The
final touch is to line the inside of the glass with a frost-effect film to give
a glittering, icy sparkle to the whole scene. And there’s a 6-
hour daily repeating timer included.
