Brink of Denmark returned for the second year running and Helge Brink comments: "Christmas & Gift is proving even better for us this year with lots of enquiries and several quality leads. The whole atmosphere in Harrogate is so warm and friendly and the organising team go out of their way to be helpful." Helge Brink - Brink
Johan Frolich of Jette Frolich Design, said: "This is the first time we have exhibited at Harrogate and are really pleased so far. It is much more personal and friendly than some of the larger European shows we exhibit at and we have not only taken five orders on the first day but also have lots of leads to follow up." Johan Frolich - Jette Frolich Design
Joelle Seksum, managing director of Josoblu comments: "We weren't really sure if Harrogate Christmas & Gift would be relevant to our range but have been pleasantly surprised by the quantity of visitors today and they have been exactly the right type of buyers too. We are delighted with the enquiries we have taken including a large garden centre chain and a number of independent retailers." Joelle Seksum - Josoblu
We've had a really good show. Monday was surprisingly busy and we took quite a few orders. We were also particularly pleased to welcome buyers from ecclesiastical gift shops - a market we are looking to develop as it is particularly relevant to our Fair Trade range - and hadn't anticipated at Harrogate Christmas & Gift, so a real bonus. David Woodcock - Fair to Trade
Even though we are still processing leads and orders I know that the show was excellent for us : high number of quality visitors (across a mix of distribution channels, many placing orders at the show or indicating clear intent to buy), good visitor flow through the Queens Pavilion Space (they had to walk past us!), a very positive, friendly atmosphere and for us a great way to get the year under way.
For me, where else could you get to meet such a wide variety of buyers and key decision makers in the middle of January!
It will definitely turn out to be our best Harrogate Christmas/Gift and we will be back next year! Paul McGuire - Vivid Arts
Harrogate truly is the most enchanting setting for a Christmas & Gift Show, and this year was no exception. The weather was very kind to us and the number of visitors was considerably up on last year. For Heaven Sends that can only mean one thing, lots of wonderful customers, enjoying and appreciating all of our hard work ensuring we bring you the very best in Christmas and ED Giftware.
We only recently said goodbye to Christmas 2011, and we are already busy planning for Christmas 2012. Customers have learned over the years to make the most of our range you really need to get your order in early. And for all those experienced buyers out there, they benefited from our most successful collection yet.
Our Everyday collection has increased tenfold with an array of wonderful and witty signs to amuse us all.
Our team this year had the most wonderful time and it's all thanks to our fabulous support from our customers. The team are now very excited for spring fair international, you can find us in halls 6 & 7, 7F20- 6G1
Harrogate truly is a wonderful show. Make sure it's on your calendar for next year. It's one not to be missed. Chantel Robinson - Heaven Sends Ltd
This is the second year we have exhibited at the Harrogate Christmas & Gift Fair and the growth of the show is outstanding. The value of our orders in 2012 was three times that of 2011 (which we are happy with). Garden centres love it as they are quiet at this time of year and a lot of bulk buyers are in big buying mode and are looking at your product before seeing the crowds at Spring Fair. Our customers like to buy at Harrogate as they get the first pick of the new stock and it's a great place to stay.
On top of this, Simon Anslow, the show organiser, is one of the nicest guys to work with in the business. He makes organising a show a pleasure and has really helped us with logistics.
If the show continues on this vain, I can see it becoming one of the biggest spring shows in Europe and Hills Interiors will be increasing its presence at the show. Julian Potter, General Manager - Hills Interiors
This year was one of the best for as long as I can remember. We had a really good time in our new home and saw lots of new customers. We were delighted that both existing and potential new customers made the effort to visit us. With the organisers reporting a 10% increase in visitors, surely Harrogate Christmas & Gift Fair is a must for any serious Christmas decoration buyer. Premier will be back next year!
